Giving back to the community

A two-year project between Action Against Homelessness and Gran’s Van has culminated in the creation of a purpose-built laundry trailer which was officially launched in Devonport last week.

Action Against Homelessness board chair Royce Fairbrother said his organisation had long identified the need to provide laundry and washing facilities for Tasmanians doing it tough. It is great to see it finally become reality.

The trailer has two washing machines, two dryers, and one private shower which Gran’s Van will tow with their updated vehicle and mobile food kitchen. There is also an awning off the van where people can sit and have a cup of coffee while they wait for their washing to finish.

Fairbrother is proud to be one of the key local businesses that contributed to the design and construction of the $250,000 project along with Degree C and Penguin Composites.

Sandy Bay Office extension and refurbishment
We are excited to be back operating in our Hobart office at 59 Sandy Bay Road after completing the extension and refurbishment.

Designed to accommodate future growth and expansion, the original building has been sensitively refurbished to be sympathetic to its heritage. The newly constructed extension is home to our Southern team.
